Silver.
We did our best. 'professional' ears can call us a Silver, but beating hearts tell us we're more than that. we know ourselves better than five strangers who had heard us for 8 minutes.

Thank you everyone, for all the support you've been giving

the fact that we are who we are itself, requires no SYF result to prove .I'm sure many of us are still feeling upset and dissappointed. sometimes when you take a step back and look. you'll realised how much we've learnt .

we've learnt from failures , we've learnt from success . we've learnt how to get in control of things and we'll definately learn how to let go of things. sometimes we might be first , sometimes we might not be first . but for everything we've gone through , we grow stronger , wiser and tougher each time.

Come to think of the times we prepared for SYF, it had been really memorable. infact the most enriching time for some of our life in yuying, and yes, it's been rocky. along the way ,

we felt lathagic for the endless practices .
we felt fustrated for not getting our parts right.
we felt stressed out when the heat is on.
we felt upset when not all woke up.
we felt tired when not many is moving

many gave up halfway through.

For those who didn't , i'm proud of you.

You grit your teeth not only for yourself, but for the whole ensemble who would be worse off if you decide to let go.

as much as it's engulfed with so much of sorrow and taxing moment, there's still fun and joy. remember ..

we stand with pride and glory.Leaded by our passionate conductor, we did our best , we played our hearts out and most importantly, we enjoyed.

As the music flow , we heard the backbone of the guitar ensemble sound -the guitaron. some of you saw it ,Wen an moved with style . A style that you'll never get to see during practice. Next, you heard the bass & contra bass. their firm and assured notes gave security to everyone.
then our prime2, with their constant pulse liked note for summer wind and their strong and firm "rascrado" , it gave a kick start for our 1st song and an impactful feeling for our 2nd song. followed up is our alto 2 ,for their running notes. last but definitely not the least , our alto. you heard their sharp and precised notes. it is surely fulled with energy.

as the saying goes " all good things have to come to an end "

After the last note rang through the hall, we heard the audience clap. I just started smiling and I looked at our conductor, hoping he was pleased.

I listened to our recording and every time I listen to it, I feel it and I feel our love, and that's enough for me now.

When hopes begin to die, that's when the passion lives on.

This has been a long and dreary post and an applaud to the souls who have made it . it captured every morning practices, every guitar practices, every tear and every smile dedicated to guitar.

hey people! it's another 1 more day to SYF .Don't worry too much , I'm sure we'll do fine. remember to sleep early tonight and take GREAT GREAT care of your health and nails. if you're afraid that you might not be able to sleep well tonight , try having some fruit or yogurt. DO NOT eat excessive amount of it too! & remember NOT TO drink coffee/mocha 4-5hour before bedtime!!!

everyone , don't feel panic. Playing well is not the most important now. MOST importantly is to enjoy yourself, only when you enjoy the music will the audiences and judges enjoy themselves too.

like what jianxuan said " image ms tan conducting - her actions & expression " then put it into our music. use your inner soul to play the music and just let it flow.

don't forget to look at the conductor too! he's like the source of light that guide us through with his baton. gosh , now i sound soo.... you know huh. HAHA

4) black/brown/dark blue rubber band - ensure that it's RUBBER band so that it's easier to tie your ribbon.
5) purple & white ribbon - tied around your rubber band
6) costume - straight and ironed with TWO buttons
7) black shoes with heels
8) Plaster - if you're afraid that there will be blister because of the shoes
9) makeup foundation & removal - IF YOU HAVE. if you don't , it's okay.
10) remove all watch , bangles , necklet and no fanciful ear-rings
11) Safety pins - you never know what might happen * hee*

1) no fringe covering
2) all watch and accessories removed
3) costume - straight and ironed with FIVE buttons

1pm -1.15pm : pack your guitars , stock check & get ready.
1.18pm-2.18pm : Journey to RP
2.18pm : IT'S SHOWTIME !

What to take note once you reach RP ?
1) once we found a quiet spot , quickly tune your guitar
2) be attentive - listen to instruction and quickly do it ( don't waste anytime )
3) after you tune your guitar , play all your open string notes as a group ( ensure that there's no weird sound )
4) move quickly and quietly
5) cherish the 10 min of tuning time

What is the procedure for the walk in and out ?

Walk IN:
- 1st row will walk in (behind the music stand) ,
- 1st row will sit down , abject yourself and feel comfortable (once your reach your sit.) - while 2nd row will walk in after the first row
- same thing , 2nd row will sit down , abject yourself and feel comfortable once your reach your sit.
- look at yuzhu in regards to when to stand -after mr yeo bowed , we'll sit down and get ready

WALK OUT:
- mr yeo will signal us to stand ( remember : quick and quiet )
- mr yeo bowed
- only pick up your foot stool AFTER mr yeo walked OUT of the stage
- 2nd row will then leave first
- followed by first row

remember, be conscious of people beside and in front of you , DO NOT knock onto anything.

what is the correct Placement, position ?
1) for walk in and out - left hand foot stool , right hand guitar ( facing audience)
2) playing : left leg on foot stool and right leg FLAT on the ground

17 more days to the important day. SYF!!!.

Ppl is like 17 more days to syf. And i still dun see the tension in all of u ppl. I would like to thanks ppl who have been working very hard for syf and trying to head towards a gold to make teachers and also our coach MrYeo proud.

I dun think u ppl who are nt striving for it wan to disappoint everyone bcuz of ur lazy-ness rite. Is very disappoint to actually see all the hard work that ur fellow mates, teachers and coach put in while u slack around with a mindset of silver is enough.

Ppl think abt it, be it if u like it or nt u are still going to the syf unless u quit. So y nt work hard instead of still slacking away. Is just another like 17days more. So why do i still see ppl who are nt feeling the urgency in syf.

Dun u ppl wan to see this yr banner outside the school with a YYSS GUITAR CLUB GOLD!!! No? If u dun feel that way i seriously think that u are nt fit to be in guitar club. Bcuz after all the hard work u given, time, suffer on ur finger, practices and u still feel like silver is enough den i really gt nth to say.

And if u feel this way dun ever let me see u during syf results are out sobing and sobing like u done all ur best. Practices is very important just this 2weeks isit so hard to go for practices. Unless u really gt good reasons or really cannot make it like u cant change it to other days the activity u have on practice day.

But at least ppl put in the effort to like maybe practice at home. Unless u dare to tell me i have completely know my songs where to soften what to do for my whole entire song, if nt practice. Do ur best. So when the result come out u will know what u do is worth it.

Last sfy that we had was a very saddening one so i hope it wun happen again. MrYeo have done all his part shouldnt u do urs too. He is trying so hard to change the way he conduct just for u ppl. But u ppl who are nt working just refuse to do it.

Wake up ppl 17days is really very short so work hard very hard for this coming syf. I will be there with u guys during sfy hearing u ppl play and will be proud to tell my poly schoolmates that look this is my juniors who are playing.

Really hope that i can share the joy with u guys abt the results and cheer knowing that u ppl did ur best with a good attitude on practices always and also trying hard to master ur pieces well. I believe we can do it.

With the good attitude i hope u ppl can put in. With ur own parts that u can master. And with our Coach MrYeo. Ppl take notes on whatever MrYeo say to u ppl and rmb it. Be serious dun be still fooling around listen to the leader around u.

And lastly like most teacher say.

If u are stupid i can teach,
But if u are lazy there is nth i can do.
