Music Exchange Program (28.03.09)
This exchange is indeed a fruitful one, considering the fact that many of us gets exposed to many audiences which we don't usually get the chance to. Judging from the silent atmosphere when the whole event had ended, i guess, many of you felt bad that our playing was not up to what we had wanted. But then, like what Joanne had said, it's all over. There's no point crying over spilt milk.
So, what we have to do from now onwards is to practice HARD! If you feel that your playing is not up to standard, practice! Practice at home, anywhere and everywhere you can think of! Don't give excuses for not being able to play well. If you had practice hard enough, your playing will show everything!
If you want/need to practice after school, take the initiative to voice it out! If your fellow friends from guitar ensemble drags you out of school to slack, you drag them back for practices! Tell them, "SYF IS COMING IN NO TIME!" If you feel that your fellow members are not hardworking enough, make the effort to irritate them till they practice everyday to meet perfection! If your friends from other CCAs ask you out after school, tell them, "I've got SYF coming up! Put yourself in my shoes!"
If you are the one not willing to practice, please do a self-reflection. Be clear of what everybody wants to achieve, remember, this is an ensemble.
From today onwards, i hope that each and everyone of you will take this coming SYF even more seriously than before.
And a NOT-SO-GENTLE reminder:
PLEASE Be Punctual or Come Earlier Than Usual. Practice Harder & More. Take note of your seating postition and posture. Tune your guitar all the time!!!
Most importantly,
STOP LOOKING AT YOUR GUITAR WHEN YOU PLAY. LOOK AT THE CONDUCTOR ALL THE TIME!!
Alright, enough of words, enjoy the photos taken during the exchange. Special credits given to Jocelin Ong (the adorable one taking all the photos).
